Job Description

Q-tech is collaborating with an international company in the search for a Chief Product Officer (CPO) to lead the product strategy in one of its business units specialized in SaaS solutions for brands and retailers. This unit facilitates unified shopping experiences in B2C, D2C, and B2B environments, managing the entire process from product exploration to purchase, delivery, and consumption across multiple physical and digital channels.

Responsibilities

Definition and Execution of Product Strategy

  • Collaborate with product leaders from each division to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with the overall business unit objectives.

  • Ensure the product strategy responds to market needs and contributes to the company's overall growth.

  • Supervise and coordinate product teams across different entities within the business unit, ensuring the correct execution of the strategy.

Product Roadmap Management and Execution

  • Lead the definition of the global product roadmap, ensuring alignment with senior management and division leaders.

  • Ensure the delivery of innovative solutions that improve customer experience, balancing innovation, quality, and development speed.

  • Incorporate inputs from various sources, including internal metrics, product teams, customers, potential customers, and market analysts.

Technical Development Oversight and CTO Alignment

  • Translate the business vision into functional and technical specifications in collaboration with development teams.

  • Define and execute a technical strategy aligned with the product vision and business objectives.

  • Ensure the use of scalable technologies and architectures, promoting best practices in development and technical governance.

  • Implement efficient CI/CD processes to optimize development and software delivery cycles.

Leadership and Development of the Product Team

  • Manage and mentor the product team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Provide guidance on development methodologies and best practices in product management.

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams in international environments to ensure efficient execution.

Performance Management and Continuous Improvement

  • Define and monitor key KPIs to evaluate the success of the product strategy (code quality, issue resolution, roadmap compliance, etc.).

  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure the product meets market needs and maximizes commercial impact.

  • Act as a product ambassador at industry events and forums, communicating its value proposition and competitive positioning.

Professional Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or similar (Master’s degree is a plus).

  • More than 15 years of experience in the software and services industry, with at least 10 years in leadership positions.

  • International experience in European markets (experience in additional markets is a plus).

  • Knowledge of the retail and ecommerce sectors.

  • Strong ability to structure and organize product development teams in scalable environments.

  • Deep knowledge of SaaS architectures, development tools, and technical governance strategies.

  • High level of English, in addition to Spanish or French. Proficiency in all three languages is valued.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of managing technical and business teams.

  • Proactive and results-oriented attitude, with flexibility and adaptability in changing environments.

  • Availability to travel as required by business needs.
