Global Technical Architect

Job Description

The Global Technical Architect is responsible for overseeing the architecture of the Cloud (Azure & OCI) and Datacenter (on-premises) platforms.

This role includes conducting strategic architecture studies as well as detailed platform designs.

He / She will work hand in hand with the Platform Owners and the Project Managers to anticipate their needs in terms of architecture studies.

He / She will be involved in a Platform Architecture Community which role is to guarantee the alignment of all platforms in terms of architecture.

• Conducting strategic architecture studies
• Designing detailed platform architectures
• Supporting the Platform Owners in the development of their Platform roadmap
• Reviewing the architecture studies and designs of the other Platform Architects (peer reviews)
• Structuring, formalizing and presenting the architecture studies and designs to the Group Design Authority
• Acting as the Architecture point of contact for his/her portfolio of topics, towards Business, Project Managers, Enterprise Architecture…
• Providing architectural guidance and advisory advice to Product teams on how to make their products with the platforms

Professional Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 10+ years of experience
• 3+ years of experience in Technical Architecture, including the realization of strategic high-level architecture studies
• Strong experience in Cloud Platform Architecture (Cloud Solutions Architect  certification is a plus)
• Very good knowledge of On-premises infrastructure : HCI hardware, virtualization, system, storage, network, security
• Very good presentation and redaction skills
• Knowledge of Information Technology frameworks (ITIL, etc.)
• Experience in DevSecOps contexts
• Experience in working with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban…)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders at all management levels
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field
• Ability to manage several topics in parallel
• Experience with and appetite for working in an international context
• Fluent English, technical and conversational
