From Q-tech, we are currently looking for a Middle Database Administrator to join one of our clients, a company dedicated to Smart Data and BI consulting services.
You will become part of a growing technical team, focused on the administration, optimization, and high availability of Microsoft SQL Server on-premises environments.
The contract is directly with the client, and it is an opportunity that allows you to work 100% remotely from anywhere in Spain.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administration and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server databases in on-premises environments
Management of SQL Server Enterprise environments with high availability using Always On
Continuous system monitoring: locks and deadlocks, memory usage, overall SQL engine performance, health of nodes and replicas
Performance optimization: SQL query tuning, analysis and improvement of execution plans
Creation and maintenance of indexes
System capacity planning: growth analysis, infrastructure expansion needs, and architecture improvement proposals
Ensuring database security: management of permissions and access, compliance with internal policies and audit requirements, support for ISO certification processes
Definition and execution of backup, restore, and disaster recovery policies
Advanced technical support for internal teams and validation of best practices in the use of the SQL Server engine
REQUIREMENTS:
+5 years of experience working as a DBA with Microsoft SQL Server
Experience in on-premises environments
Practical knowledge of SQL Server Enterprise
Experience managing environments with:
Always On Availability Groups
High availability and redundancy
Experience with database monitoring tools
Knowledge of SQL Server security
Experience in backup and recovery policies
