QA Testing Engineer (Firmware & Hardware

Job Description

From the Q-tech team, we collaborate with a tech startup that has developed—practically 100%—its own product within the sustainability sector: a physical device capable of automatically identifying the material a user deposits for recycling (plastic, glass, etc.) through sensors and embedded AI, and that rewards this action via a mobile app or NFC card.

The product is already deployed in dozens of public locations, as well as installations in campsites and collaborations with local administrations and waste‑management companies.

Operating 24/7 on the street makes reliability critical: every failure results in a real incident in the field. For this reason, there is a dedicated ecosystem of automated testing for firmware and hardware, which we now seek you to maintain, scale, and strengthen.

Professional Requirements

• Python · Robot Framework
• BLE, UART, SPI, I2C, I2S protocols
• Electronics and measurement equipment
• Git · Docker
• C/C++
• Jira · Confluence
• Basic notions of CI/CD

• 3–5 years of experience in QA/testing
• Hands‑on experience integrating firmware + hardware (the most important pillar of the role)
• Strong Python skills and comfort working with physical electronics
• Autonomy, critical thinking, proactivity
• Comfort working in startup environments with shifting priorities
