Senior Backend Engineer (Remote from Spain)

Their platform is used by hundreds of enterprise clients and is evolving from digitalizing workflows to offering intelligent insights powered by AI.

The challenge

You’ll join a cross-functional product team working on the company’s core product—used by thousands of users and growing fast. The team is tackling exciting challenges: legacy cleanup, scalability, and implementing best practices in testing, security, and architecture.

You’ll be one of the senior voices in a team that values autonomy and ownership. Your input will shape how the product evolves and how the team works.

Tech stack

• Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL
• Exposure to PHP or Java is a plus
• Testing culture: BDD, Clean Architecture, DDD
• Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions

Professional Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Solid understanding of backend architecture, scalability, and clean code principles.
• Experience with Node.js and TypeScript is a plus, but not mandatory — we value strong backend engineers coming from other languages such as Java, Python, Go, or PHP, who are open to working with modern JavaScript-based stacks.
• Experience in regulated environments or with high-quality standards.
• Passion for clean code, testing, and scalable architecture.
• Proactive mindset and ability to influence technical decisions.
• Fluent English (working language).
