Software Engineer (Go/Kubernetes)

At Q-tech, we are partnering with one of Europe's largest business groups, an international German company with operations across retail, food, industry, and digital services.

The organization is making a significant investment in building its own technology and developing a next-generation European cloud platform, with the goal of delivering infrastructure, security, and cloud services based on the principles of digital sovereignty.

The Barcelona tech hub plays a key role in building these core products, working alongside international teams on some of the most complex challenges in today's cloud-native ecosystem.

We are looking for Software Engineers with experience in Golang to join several teams developing key components of a large-scale cloud platform.

Depending on the team, you will work on areas such as infrastructure automation through Kubernetes Operators, developer platform services, container management, CI/CD systems, cloud security, or distributed orchestration components.

This is a highly engineering-focused role, where Kubernetes is not just an operational tool but a core building block used to develop products and services.

You will work in highly automated environments, designing scalable, resilient solutions capable of supporting millions of daily operations.

Nice to have

• Experience developing Kubernetes Operators or Controllers
• Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or similar tools
• Experience with Helm and Kustomize
• Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
• Experience with cloud-native security or applied cryptography
• Experience with Harbor or container registry management platforms
• Knowledge of Python
• Experience working in air-gapped environments
