Workplace Architect

Job Description

At Q-tech, we are looking for a Workplace Architect for Banco Sabadell. The selected person will join the bank’s global Infrastructure Architecture area, within the Workplace team. Their main goal will be to design technical infrastructures that improve the user experience at the bank.

 Mission:

• Define, assess, and coordinate architecture projects related to the Banco Sabadell User Workstation.
• Help define the strategy for the Infrastructure Architecture area.
• Collaborate in the definition of the architecture white paper.
• Ensure the operability of the defined architectures.
• Perform cost/benefit analysis of solutions.
• Coordinate technical implementations.
• Work as part of a team with the other architects in the area.
• Ensure the quality of the documentation.

Professional Requirements

Knowledge:

A highly qualified professional capable of developing the User Workstation architecture in alignment with business needs.

 Management Knowledge:

• Professional with a global vision of architecture.
• Structured and analytical mindset.
• Primarily vendor-agnostic.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Skilled in presenting complex technical proposals.
• Technical documentation expertise.
• Leadership of technical teams.
• Knowledge of Neutral Facilities and their functionalities.

 Technical Knowledge:

• Design and implementation of Workplace solutions based on O365.
• Design and implementation of local solutions for end-users: FatClient, ThinClient.
• Design and implementation of security requirements for user workstations.
• Extensive experience with Citrix: XenApp, XenDesktop.
• Application packaging: Microsoft APP-V.
• BYOD.
• MAM & MDM.
• VDI as a Service.

 Experience:

Proven experience (10+ years) in defining and implementing End2End Workplace solutions (from the user’s physical workstation to the backend), with recent focus on designing highly complex global solutions. Preferably with experience in international financial environments.

 Skills:

• Oral and written communication (Spanish and English).
